New Business Market Survey Reveals 40% of Mid-Market Businesses Engage with BPO, Outbounders.com Reports
San Fransisco, CA (PRWEB) May 16, 2014 -- Outbounders.com, a call center niche marketplace, connecting companies with experienced and qualified staff today reveals key findings of the business report that reveal an unmistakable preference for BPO by companies on every continent.
In the G7 nations of the world, 42% of the companies surveyed said they are outsourcing or plan to outsource some of their business operations. In Southern Europe, the countries mostly affected by the economic recession, 64% of the surveyed senior executives reveal they already have outsourced some business processes or they’re willing to. Spain has 7 out of 10 companies expressing their interest in BPO, or confirming they are already BPO users.
In the US, 42% of companies are outsourcing. Latin America sees a growing interest in BPO with 5 out of 10 Latin American companies implementing or planning to implement BPO. Despite the obvious growth of business operations outsourcing, the business report reveals a widespread reluctance among many leading companies who still see BPO as a risky solution for lowering operational costs. In fact, 4 in 10 companies are not comfortable with the idea of losing control over key business operations and 27% say they fear the risk that outsourcing entails.
With about 3,300 business executives in the mid-market industry surveyed, the Grant Thornton report offers an accurate inside peek into the status of BPO globally. The Business Report confirms outsourcing trends too. The most popular business operations that are being outsourced are IT, taxes and HR & Payroll.
In addition to what businesses are more likely to outsource, the report also delves into the benefits that lead businesses to choose BPO, namely cost reduction and efficiencies improvement. Business continuity and access to competent talent are two other factors that urge companies to BPO.
A key finding in the Grant Thornton IBR 2014, is that companies still regard cost reduction as the no.1 reason why they should outsource back-office services.
