New Energy Works Timber Frame Projects Win Awards in the Annual Timber Home Living ‘Best Timber Homes of the Year’

Including “Best Home” and “Best Kitchen”, several New Energy Works Timberframers projects were recognized by Timber Home Living Magazine in the 2017 ‘Best Timber Homes of the Year’ competition.

It is a wonderfully unique and special property and New Energy Works helped us design and build what we feel is the perfect house.

New Energy Works Timberframers custom home projects were recognized and awarded in Timber Home Living Magazine's 2017 “Best Timber Homes of the Year” issue. The annual Timber Home Living special provides the magazine’s subscribers, fans, and followers the opportunity to vote on their favorite projects in eight categories. Over 200 entries were submitted to the 2017 competition.

“We’re excited that several of our custom homes and timber frame projects received recognition from the Timber Home Living fan base,” said Eric Fraser, General Manager of New Energy Works Timber Frame Division. “And we’re thankful for the privilege to work with amazing clients and partners to bring these projects to life.”

Named one of six “Best Homes”, the Olsen home in Austerlitz, NY was designed, crafted, raised, and enclosed by New Energy Works. All-natural materials, including reclaimed wood timbers and flooring, were used throughout the project.

“The house is just so livable. It is a wonderfully unique and special property and New Energy Works helped us design and build what we feel is the perfect house. It has a fantastic balance between indoor and outdoor space. The craftsmanship is truly exquisite," expressed the Olsens. The custom crafted kitchen and stairs within the home were also chosen as “Runners-up” in the annual awards.

The company saw the honor of “Best Kitchen” for one of their homes on Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. New Energy Works fine woodworking division, NEWwoodworks, handcrafted the kitchen cabinetry and tops. A custom color finish was applied to the cabinets and Walnut was integrated in food preparation and serving areas.

  •     Best Kitchen, Runner-up, designed by New Energy Works, crafted by NEWwoodworks
  •     Best Outdoor Space, Runner-up, designed by Barkstrom & LaCroix Architects, built by Mark IV Construction, crafted and raised by New Energy Works
  •     Best Stair, Runner-up, designed and enclosed by New Energy Works, crafted by NEWwoodworks
