HiMama today announced that KinderCare, the largest privately held childcare provider in the United States, has launched the KinderCare App, a version of the HiMama app as a new service for its families across KinderCare Learning Centers nationwide. The app delivers on KinderCare’s commitment to enriching the family experience by building connections between children, parents and teachers.
The app launched this summer at more than 1,500 KinderCare locations nationwide, making it the single largest rollout of an app of its kind. The app is now being used by almost 27,000 teachers to share information with families about the learning and development of approximately 160,000 children in KinderCare locations across the country.
The KinderCare App allows teachers to share text, photo, and video updates with each child’s family throughout the day, providing parents and caregivers with a window into their child’s day at the center. Since its launch, the app has received nearly 13,000 ratings from teachers and families, averaging 4.9 out of 5 in the App Store.
“We are thrilled to provide KinderCare with a modern software solution that helps provide an industry-leading experience for their families,” comments Ron Spreeuwenberg, Chief Executive Officer of HiMama. “HiMama’s number one priority has always been to improve learning outcomes for children. By partnering with the largest early education provider in the U.S., our technology will now help enable the best start in life for so many more children.”
“The relationship between families and teachers in our centers is invaluable, and the KinderCare app unlocks a world of possibilities,” said Abe Lietz, KinderCare’s Chief Information Officer. “Through the app, teachers are able to bring classroom moments to life and families can feel like they’re a part of their child’s day.”
