New Memoir Covers Authors Own Experience and Provides Information for Survivors of Incest
Madeline A. Garner announces publication of 'Inside Incest'
CLEVELAND, Aug. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author Madeline A. Garner shares her own experience with father-daughter incest and emotional neglect in "Inside Incest" (published by Balboa Press) and provides survivors with information about their experiences and resources they can use.
Survivors of childhood sexual and other abuse have been part of Garner's caseload as a psychotherapist for 36 years and as an energy healer for eight years. She wants to help and inspire those individuals on a larger scale by sharing her own experience and what she did to transform herself with the help of others.
"Incest is devastating and isolating for the victim," Garner says. "It's common but no one talks about it. When victims are forced in childhood to give up control over their bodies, they become women who are unable to defend themselves against aggressive men or don't recognize abuse when they see it, or feel they deserve abuse."

About the Author
Madeline A. Garner has always lived in the Midwest. She lives with her second husband and two cats. After her three children were in school, she returned to school herself to pursue her goal of becoming a psychotherapist. Due to her experience with abuse, she could relate well to other people in pain and their need to feel better. Garner continued her own therapy along with her education, so she could feel qualified to help others. What sets her apart from other therapists is the energy healing work she uses in combination with psychotherapy.
