FREDERICK, Md., Jan. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Digital marketing agency New North recently launched the Events at the Assembly, an event series that teaches local organizations about different facets of marketing free of charge.
The Events at the Assembly series was the brain child of CEO Tobin Lehman. After New North moved to a brand new office on South Carroll Street, he decided he wanted to give back to the community in which New North was founded. The Events at the Assembly Series was born as a way to teach local businesses about the marketing that they need to make their businesses successful and make use of the larger office space.
The series is made up of Happy Hours and Seminars. Typically there are two Happy Hours a month, focusing on topics from space branding to copyrights to emerging tech. Of course, all of the events have a marketing application. Happy Hours feature drinks, snacks, and an intimate networking setting consisting of ten to fifteen people.
Seminars are larger presentation style marketing events that take place once a month. With an equally varied list of topics, these events are of a more formal presentation style, with plenty of time for Q & A at the end. The majority of the events are free, with only a few requiring a prepaid fee.
Tobin values working with local businesses to put on the events. Some notable local hosts have included Laura Wallace, Creative Director at Worx Graphic Design, and Austin Meyermann, Owner of TalentCMO. In the future, Tobin hopes to work with a wide variety of local businesses who want to give back and educate the Frederick community on how they can succeed.
