A tale of passion, love at first sight, “The Fountain: If You Love Something, Don't Give Up on It.” (published by Archway Press), shares a young couple’s determination to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles in order to realize their happily-ever-after.

A chance meeting in Central Park brings Kate and Connor together. As they date and fall in love, they must work to overcome their respective issues. Kate is heartbroken from so many things, but Connor knows deep down he wants to stay in her life to make everything better. Estranged from his parents, Connor is reeling from feelings of abandonment and hopes Kate can help him heal. When it seems their time together was just a dream, Connor and Kate must search to try to find their way back to one another.

“People wants to give up on things very fast and I want my book to touch them, showing them that if you get knock down, get back up and try again,” Hicks says. “Don't give up. All the pain that you're going through, will soon go away. Just keep fighting.”
