New Survey to be Released Wednesday: U.S. Workers Agree Education Overhaul is Needed
Express Employment Professionals partners with The Harris Poll to take a look at education in America and its success in preparing the next generation for the workforce.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla., March 9, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On Wednesday, Express Employment Professionals will release a new national survey of U.S. employees detailing education in America and its success in preparing the next generation for the workforce.
The survey, conducted by Harris Poll, reveals 80% of workers say the education system has failed to evolve to meet the needs of the workforce and examines what skills are necessary for today's careers and those of the future. This also includes how much education employees use daily at work and the need for continual learning opportunities.
The Harris Poll also dives into the value of a college education and the need for real-life job experience in education. Highlighting one of the hottest issues for the 2020 presidential election, the survey details who respondents think should pay for college and which generations worked while attending school to pay for their education.
"With an eye on the future, it's time for educators, businesses and policymakers to come to the table and discuss where gaps exist in education and how to collaborate to bridge them," said Bill Stoller, CEO of Express. "We recognize that teachers and professors do the best they can with the resources they are given, and we want to make sure their efforts are not in vain."
If you would like to obtain an advance copy of the survey results or arrange an interview with Express CEO Bill Stoller to discuss this topic, please contact Sheena Karami, Director of Corporate Communications and PR, at (405) 717-5966.
