New White Paper on Avionics Cooling Published by Valcor Engineering
SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (PRWEB) October 31, 2019 -- Valcor Engineering Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of fluid control components and subsystems, clutches, brakes & OBIGGS systems, is proud to present their latest white paper from the Aerospace Group, titled “Avionics Cooling Using Motor-Operated Proportional Control Valves.”
Precision cooling of sensitive avionics and related systems requires a complex system of temperature monitoring and closed-loop feedback control of the cooling media. This paper discusses the options for this cooling in air and spacecraft, including off-the-shelf temperature controllers, pulse-width modulated solenoid valves, precision ball valves, and Valcor’s proprietary motor-operated proportional control valves (MOPCV).
Valcor’s motor-operated proportional control valves provide rapid, smooth, proportional control of coolant. Using a proprietary variable-orifice design, the MOPCV provides infinite, extremely rapid-response temperature control without experiencing degradation of the valving element over time. This ensures exceptionally long reliability and operating time. Besides the options of failing in the open or closed position, these valves can also be configured to fail in the last position or in a predetermined flow position. “The unique design of these valves affords the user with accurate, fine-tuned flow control and the ability to tailor the failsafe mode to the application” stated Larry Wismer, Senior Director of Sales & Marketing.
