New York City Businesswoman Paulina Lopez Receives the Annual “Today’s Inspired Latina Woman of the Year Award” by Today’s Inspired Latina
CHICAGO (PRWEB) January 16, 2019 -- Recognized for her work in helping local, minority and Latina female entrepreneurs grow professionally and personally, Paulina Lopez, a New York City-based business owner and consultant, recently became the recipient of the second annual Today’s Inspired Latina (TIL) Woman of the Year Award.
Jackie Camacho-Ruiz, the creator of the highly successful and empowering Today’s Inspired Latina book series, presented the prestigious award to Lopez who is from the Dominican Republic. The series, which contains four volumes, showcases the poignant collection of 105 stories from Hispanic female authors all over the world. Today’s Inspired Latina Volume V will debut this spring.
The TIL Woman of the Year Award is presented to a contributing author who exemplifies the values of authenticity, passion, and integrity and makes an active impact in the community to elevate fellow Latinas.
Lopez, a Volume I author, has carved a promising career as CEO and founder of both The Business of WE and her New York-based consulting firm, Paulina Lopez Consulting. The Business of WE’s mission is to help women unlock their full potential and advance in their pursuits by providing essential strategies, innovative resources, fostering collaborative connections, inspiration and empowerment.
“Paulina is another beautiful and positive representative of the Today’s Inspired Latina movement that I created four years ago,” Camacho-Ruiz said. “These awards present examples of strong and successful Latinas who are making life-changing contributions in their communities whether it’s on a local or a global stage.
Excited and humbled by receiving the honor, Lopez pledged her continued support of TIL’s Latina authors.
“I'm grateful for the opportunity to engage other like-minded Latina women that are looking for the inspiration, motivation and the resources to pursue greater things and create an impact in the world,” she said.
Lopez takes the reins from Tamika Lecheé Morales, TIL’s 2018 Woman of the Year. Morales’ busy year was filled with media interviews, speaking engagements and special occasions such as participating in a panel discussion with other TIL authors at the New York Times and celebrating Hispanic culture in the BELLEZA event presented by Esteé Lauder and TIL at Macy’s Oak Brook, Illinois location.
At TIL’s 2019 Woman of the Year, Lopez has a particular goal in mind for her new role.
“My mission and vision is to continue strengthening the TIL sisterhood as we celebrate each other’s successes,” she said. “I want to elevate and enhance this platform where we can co-create powerful things together and a build a positive environment for other ambitious, passion-driven women to grow, thrive and prosper.
