Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant has unveiled a new 420 square-foot gallery covering the entire river-facing side of the restaurant. It brings the restaurant’s total square footage to 4,280. The balcony, which will be available for private events and open to the public per availability, is set to once again change the façade of Lucy’s, which has undergone both cosmetic and ownership changes over the past calendar year.

“Lucy’s is an ever-evolving entity, and adding this gallery is just another example of our continued commitment and improvement," said Jamie Munoz, Director of Operations at Kirkendoll Management – Restaurant Division. Kirkendoll owns and operates Lucy’s and several other properties throughout the Southeastern region, with plans of expanding internationally.

The new balcony has been finished just in time for Festival Season. It's a convenient walk from events such as Wednesdays at the Square, New Orleans Pride, Essence Festival, New Orleans' Running of the Bulls and White Linen Night. Lucy's also anticipates the balcony being a popular location during future Mardi Gras seasons. “There is no better time to open a balcony Downtown than Mardi Gras," Munoz said, "and we look forward to being even more of a party destination.”

Lucy's is located at 701 Tchoupitoulas St. in New Orleans, La. 70130, at the corner of Tchoupitoulas and Girod streets. To learn more about balcony rental or to reserve it as a private event venue, call (504) 523-8995 or visit http://www.lucysretiredsurfers.com.
