Newport Beach Balance & Ear Institute Announces New Licensing Agreement with St. Louis Practice
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (PRWEB) September 04, 2018 -- Newport-Mesa Audiology Balance & Ear Institute (the Institute) is proud to announce its first, new licensing agreement with Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute, a collaborative partner of Sound Health Services in St. Louis. The agreement was formalized in June, paving the way for Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute to train on and use the proprietary clinical methods and business processes of one of the most successful balance institutes in the U.S. The terms of the licensing agreement will provide audiologists at Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute with the clinical know how to diagnose and treat patients with dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders all in one location, providing improved clinical outcomes, patient care and income.
Traditionally, audiologists have only diagnosed vestibular dysfunction which causes dizziness, vertigo and imbalance. Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute will now treat patients utilizing proprietary Advanced Vestibular Treatment™ (AVT), which is directed solely by audiologists. This is proven to be significantly more effective than traditional methods of treatment, such as vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT), performed by physical therapists.
“Our license agreement provides the clinical insight for audiologists to both diagnose and treat vestibular dysfunction in the balance system of the inner ear, giving patients supreme convenience, peace of mind and improved results,” said Dr. Howard T. Mango, Founder and CEO of Newport-Mesa Audiology Balance & Ear Institute. “It also provides audiologists economic opportunities by making their practice more profitable by providing referring doctors and patients with one location for both diagnosis and treatment.”
“We are very excited about our partnership,” said Jaime Carmody, CEO of Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute. “We will be able to provide better treatment for patients with dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders. The efficacy of both diagnosing and treating patients in one location using AVT provides longer lasting, effective outcomes.”
“Additionally, the audiology industry is shifting, making it more difficult for private practices to provide the best patient care and still be profitable. This licensing partnership has created a health care business opportunity in a relatively untapped, growing market of dizzy patients for audiologists.”
Thirty five percent of the people in the U.S. will experience dizziness, vertigo or a balance disorder sometime in their lives. In fact, these symptoms are the third most common reason for visits to a Primary Care Physician’s office for those under 75 years of age and the number one reason for visits for people 75 years and older.
