Concordia University, Nebraska Names Jen Janousek New Director Of Public Health Program
Seward, NE (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- Concordia University, Nebraska today announced the appointment of Jen Janousek, PhD., as the Director of the Online Master of Public Health (MPH) program. Janousek is a full-time professor. She earned her PhD. in Public Health from Walden University and her master’s degree in Health Education from University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Janousek is passionate about improving global public health and has led her students on service-oriented mission trips to Guatemala. “Dr. Janousek is an incredible asset to Concordia Nebraska,” said Jenny Mueller-Roebke, University Provost. “Her strong dedication to health care education is bolstered by her commitment to global health missions, providing students with cross-cultural experiences serving those in need.”
As Director of Concordia Nebraska’s online Master of Public Health programs, Dr. Janousek helps students gain a solid understanding of the complexities of global health. She has taught several health courses at Concordia Nebraska, including Lifetime Wellness, Elements in Health, Health Psychology and Nutrition.
Concordia Nebraska’s Online Master of Public Health program is a faith-based program that offers specializations and courses that focus on fundamentals of public health and enable students to apply the concepts and principles through practicum work and service-oriented mission trips.
Concordia Nebraska’s online MPH program recognizes the value of strong relationships with community health organizations and community-based public health professionals. Faculty and students are involved in a wide array of collaborative and service initiatives with community partners, including local, regional and global projects.
