“Spentit,” a mobile application, was featured on NewsWatch as part of its popular segment, AppWatch, that takes a look at the latest and coolest mobile applications and services on the iOS, Android, and Windows market. Andrew Tropeano, host of AppWatch, conducted the app review and explained to viewers how it’s similar to other major social media sites except it encourages users to show off their purchases.
One of the more enjoyable feelings is that emotion immediately after making a purchase. The consumer only wants to show it off and talk about it. Unfortunately, social media channels aren’t exactly built for humble-brags. Well there’s a new app out there called Spentit that’s similar to social channels like Facebook and Instagram, except that it actually encourages users to show off their purchases.
Aside from posting photos of new shirts or dinner from a Friday date, users can also use Spentit for exploring nearby locations or window shopping. With the app, if a user sees something a friend bought, they can see the price, where they got it, and even add it to their profile wishlist. However, the main purpose is to share photos of purchases, add comments, a location, and even a product category.
Similar to other major social media channels, users can at-mention people or include hashtags. And once they’ve taken a picture, there’s a full picture editor at their disposal for making those new favorite kicks look perfect.
Spentit is a free app for iOS devices. To learn more, visit http://www.spentit.com.
