Westchester, NY (PRWEB) January 25, 2014
Fit Body Boot Camp is a family and although they are all individually owned and operated, they work together to give back to their communities. The Bronx, Westchester, and Port Chester Fit Body Boot Camp locations are working together with the Huntington, Smithtown, and Long Island City Fit Body Boot Camp locations to fundraise and donate to the Suffolk County Firefighter’s Burn Center Fund.
The Suffolk County Firefighter’s Burn Center Fund makes an effort to provide advanced, timely and research-based burn rehabilitation to all patients. Treating patients with a specially trained team that is passionate about helping adults and children recover from their burn injuries, this burn center prepares individualized treatment plans for each patient as well as prevents and corrects burn scar contracture and deformity to maximize functional outcomes and promote patient independence.
Owner and operator of the Westchester, Port Chester, and Bronx Fit Body Boot Camp locations, Butch Nieves, says, “We want to raise a lot of money so we are opening it up to all of the fire houses on Long Island and New York City to get them in on the challenge. Whether they are members of our studio or not, we want to challenge them to get healthy, lose weight and body fat, and raise money for an amazing cause. So, for every firefighter who sheds pounds and body fat we will also donate on their behalf.”
The fee to participate in Fit Body Boot Camp’s “Pound for Dollar” Challenge is $97 and all proceeds collected will go towards the burn center fund as well as $1 for every pound and percentage of body fat that a participating member loses during the 21-day fitness program.

About New York Fit Body Boot Camp
Although New York Fit Body Boot Camp was founded by award-winning bodybuilder Butch Nieves, its workouts focus less on bulking up than on slimming down. Featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, the workout regimen melts fat efficiently with a blend of four fitness essentials—cardio, resistance training, body-weight core training, and ab workouts. Exercisers build toned muscle during the fast-paced sessions, ramping up metabolism in an indoor studio outfitted with foam flooring that cushions joints. Certified personal trainers lead each class, motivating clients with supportive words, rather than by barking military-style orders or threatening to replace water bottles with steaming teapots.
