The National Foundation on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition Launches New Website to Help Private Sector Invest in Health
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) May 31, 2014 -- The National Foundation on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition (NFFSN) is pleased to announce the launch of its fully‐featured website (http://nffsn.org). The new website is designed to assist private sector partners and other stakeholders in making well‐informed decisions about where and how their investments can make the most significant impact in support of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition and its mission— to engage, educate, and empower all Americans to adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical activity and good nutrition.
A primary focus of the website is to provide essential tools to investors to identify areas of critical need, and also to inform how their investments can create meaningful and sustainable change to promote opportunities in fitness, sports, and nutrition.
“We appreciate the support The Coca Cola Foundation has provided to NFFSN to create this new website which is an important tool for our private sector partners and other stakeholders. It will serve as a powerful resource to those interested in investing in our nation’s health through fitness, sports, and nutrition opportunities. For our nation to become healthier, it must be transformed by acts of people and organizations partnering in a bold way, envisioning something different, and pursuing its achievement. This website is a significant step toward accomplishing this vision,” said Patrick Cunnane, Chairperson of the Foundation.
The National Foundation on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition is a Congressionally chartered foundation that was created on December 22, 2010 when President Obama signed the National Foundation on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition Establishment Act (Public Law No: 111-‐332). The NFFSN was created to cultivate investment from the private sector to fund, serve, and strengthen the initiatives and programs of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition.
