American Sentinel University Presents Donation to Denver Health Medical Center’s Newborns in Need Program
Aurora, CO (PRWEB) July 16, 2014 -- American Sentinel University, an accredited online university, presented the Denver Health Foundation with a $1,200 cash donation in addition to clothing and blankets for Denver Health’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing team. The recent fundraising initiative was held in conjunction with National Nurses Week.
“We are grateful for this donation which will help our NICU nurses make these babies more comfortable and build strong relationships with their parents,” says Robin Engleberg, program manager at the Denver Health Foundation. “The financial donation contributes to the cost of providing donor breast milk for these fragile infants when the mother is unable to provide milk for her baby. American Sentinel’s donation will have a far-reaching impact for our patients and nurses,” says Engleberg.
More than 3,000 newborns are delivered at Denver Health Medical Center each year.
