My staff and I try to create the ideal program for any junior tennis player, regardless of age or ability level.

A long-time summer location, the Winter program is led by the University of Hawaii’s Head Women’s Tennis Coach, Jun Hernandez. Coach Hernandez has had many successful summers running tennis programs in Hawaii, and now looks to add another great program to his repertoire.
“My goal is to help teach, inspire and develop junior tennis players to learn the proper etiquette, strategies, technique and fundamentals in order to become the best possible athlete they can be,” says Coach Hernandez. “My staff and I try to create the ideal program for any junior tennis player, regardless of age or ability level.”
Hernandez enters his 13th season as Head Coach of the Rainbow Wahine tennis team. In his tenure, Jun has accumulated the second most wins of any women’s tennis coach in the program’s history. Additionally, Coach Hernandez lead the Women’s program to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance, first Conference tournament title, and the program’s first ITA ranking.
“I’ve always been blown away by Coach Hernandez’s passion and dedication for the sport and for improving young athletes,” says Matt Kurlander, National Manager for Nike Tennis Camps. “Hawaii is already a hard to beat destination, but having Coach Hernandez at the helm is the real icing on the cake.”
The Winter Tennis Camp at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, runs December 26-29 and offers full day and half day camp options. Camp is designed for kids ages 8-18 of all skill levels.
