Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer P.A., one of New Jersey’s major law firms, is pleased to announce the promotion of three of their associates. Joseph J. Russell, Jr. of the Family Law Team has been named shareholder. Alyson M. Leone of the Business Law Team and Gregory D. Shaffer of the Mass Tort/ Class Action Team have been named counsel.

Joseph Russell practices in the area of Family Law concentrating on issues of divorce, alimony, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, civil unions, same sex marriage and appeals. Mr. Russell is also a R. 1:40 Qualified Mediator. Mr. Russell is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and maintains offices in both the firm’s Woodbridge and Eatontown, New Jersey locations.
Alyson Leone’s practice includes the representation of a variety of healthcare providers, physician practices, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and surgical practices. Ms. Leone advises on transactional matters such as the purchase and sale of healthcare entities, joint ventures, shareholder and employment agreements and licensure compliance. Ms. Leone also practices corporate law, including the formation and structure of business entities, negotiating and drafting contracts, stock and asset acquisitions and general corporate counseling.
Greg Shaffer, a certified civil trial attorney, practices in the areas of Mass Tort, Class Actions and Personal Injury concentrating on asbestos and mesothelioma, chemical exposure, consumer protection, drug and medical device litigation, lead poisoning and railroad injuries. Before attending law school, Greg Shaffer was a civil investigator for product liability and medical malpractice matters.
