Notion Presents at A Day of Thoughtful Things Hosted By Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Nest
Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 21, 2014 -- Notion, a Denver-based conscious home technology startup, announced its participation in A Day of Thoughtful Things hosted by the Thoughtful Things Fund, an initiative led by Google Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers to fund emerging companies and fuel ideas that can expand what the conscious home™ can do.
According to a 2014 study released by Juniper Research, the smart home market will reach $71 billion by 2018—up from $33 billion in 2013, and $25 billion in 2012. “Even though there have been notable successes already in the smart home space, the category is still very young,” said Brett Jurgens, Notion co-founder and CEO. “With more devices entering the market each day, we believe people are hungry for a simplified experience, which is why we make one product that does many things rather than many products that each do one thing.”
Notion raised over $280,000 in pre-sales on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter in October, and plans to begin shipping Kickstarter orders in July 2015. In addition, Notion recently began accepting pre-orders on its own site: http://store.notion.is.
