New Contract with WESCO International, Inc. Offers Government Agencies More Products
Seattle, WA and Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- National Purchasing Partners (NPP) and WESCO International, Inc. (NYSE: WCC) have a new competitively bid, publicly awarded contract that offers electrical and other industrial supplies to government entities at highly competitive rates.
NPP helps thousands of public entities nationwide save time in the procurement process. With a wide range of competitively bid and publicly awarded contracts, agencies can purchase off of existing contracts without going to bid, and the contracts comply with government procurement requirements.
The improved contract with WESCO, which went into effect April 1, 2013, significantly expands the number of products that are available through NPP to now include electrical, security and data communications, wiring and cabling, and street lighting.
WESCO is a leading distributor of electrical, data and telecommunications, safety, security, and maintenance supplies. WESCO also offers energy-efficient products, including solar panels and LED lighting. WESCO operates nine fully automated distribution centers and approximately 475 branches in North America and international markets.
“We have worked with WESCO for years, and we are extremely happy to have this new contract,” says Molly Deter, NPP’s Government National Account Manager. “The contract and partnership help government entities navigate the waters of public procurement, and will save them money at the same time.”
“Our relationship with NPP gives public entities access to WESCO’s broad range of products and services and to our knowledgeable customer service representatives and sales team who can answer questions and address their needs,” says Lee Osterman, WESCO’s Government General Manager.
