McGeough Lamacchia Sold Most Homes in Massachusetts for the First Half of 2013
Waltham, MA (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- McGeough Lamacchia Realty, a full service real estate company serving Massachusetts and New Hampshire, sold more homes in Massachusetts than any other agents or teams for the first 6 months of 2013.
According to data provided by the MLS Property Information Network, with 183 sales in Massachusetts under the McGeough Lamacchia Team for the first 6 months of 2013, McGeough Lamacchia currently ranks as the number 1 real estate team for home sales in Massachusetts. McGeough Lamacchia is also the top real estate team for both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with 220 sales.
John McGeough and Anthony Lamacchia, co-brokers and owners of McGeough Lamacchia Realty, say by the end of 2013, they anticipate being the number one real estate agents for the fourth year in a row.
“We expected 2013 to be another strong year for home sales,” says John McGeough. “Back in September of 2012, year to date home sales were the highest for that period since 2007. And our housing report for May of this year showed highest amount of home sales since 2006.”
McGeough Lamacchia Realty is pacing to beat the company’s home sales numbers from last year.
Last year at this time McGeough Lamacchia sold 197 homes as a company, and this year the company has already sold 222 homes in Massachusetts, an increase in home sales of 13 percent compared to the first 6 months of 2012. For Massachusetts and New Hampshire, McGeough Lamacchia sold 261 homes from January to June this year, an increase of 15 percent over sales from last year for the same time period.

McGeough Lamacchia says in order to handle the new home buyers coming into the market, the company added additional real estate agents to their team this year to cover more areas in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. McGeough Lamacchia also began a new Agent Training Initiative to show Agents how to provide the best possible service to their clients and stay up to date on the latest real estate trends.
In March of this year, McGeough Lamacchia Realty ranked number 23 in the Boston Business Journal’s 2013 Pacesetters, a list of the fastest growing private companies in the state.
