Amplion Expands Relationship with Memorial Hospital to Provide Support for Nurse Call System
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) December 10, 2015 -- Amplion Clinical Communications today announced that Memorial Hospital in North Conway, New Hampshire, has expanded its relationship with the company to include nurse call system services. Part of the MaineHealth family of hospitals, the long time Amplion customer will be installing the latest version of Amplion Alert, a care assurance platform that integrates patient care communications for an unprecedented approach to nurse call, advanced messaging and reminders, and alarm management.
Previously, Memorial Hospital operated an earlier version of Amplion Alert to specifically address alarm fatigue, patient falls and other safety concerns. As the hospital evaluated options for replacing an outdated nurse call system, Amplion’s new integrated platform met the challenge.
“We were impressed by the functionality of Amplion’s system and how cost effective it was to implement,” said Ethnee Garner, Vice President of Nursing Services for Memorial. “When we showed another vendor what Amplion could do, they said they couldn’t compete. Considering all this, and Amplion’s track record of excellent customer service and reliability, it made the decision easy.”
Memorial has been an Amplion customer since 2009, and was first introduced to the company after seeing its technology in action at another hospital in its region. Initially Memorial deployed Amplion’s capabilities in its Med Surg department, and over time expanded the use of Amplion technology in support of its on-campus nursing home, The Merriman House.
“We are honored when a customer not only sticks with us over time but also grows with us over time,” said David Condra, CEO of Amplion. “We value our relationships with the hospitals we serve, and we could not be more excited to bring additional value and support to Memorial as they rely on our platform to take their patient care communications to new levels.”
Part of the attraction of Amplion’s new platform for Memorial was the ability to further streamline communication with patients and among staff. The hospital also has high expectations for increasing accountability for the delivery of care within its halls.
“What Amplion Alert can do for us moving forward is huge,” said Leah Hammer, Clinical Manager for Medsurge and ICU at Memorial. “The accountability it will give us, the opportunity to close the loop on care and confirm how and when it was delivered, the possibilities are very exciting.”
