eCube Systems Announces NXTware Remote Support for Eclipse 4.3, Code Name Kepler, and Java 1.7
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) March 28, 2014 -- eCube Systems, a leading provider of remote development tools and middleware solutions, announced that NXTware Remote, the popular OpenVMS and Unix/Linux Remote Development Environment, now supports Eclipse 4.3, code name Kepler, and Java 1.7, which is critical for NXTware Remote Studio.
NXTware Remote users will benefit from improved performance and greater productivity through detachable windows. Detached windows now remain synchronized with the master window. This is especially handy for people developing with two or more monitors because the detached windows simplify the maintenance of synchronized views across several monitors.
“eCube continues its commitment to Eclipse by providing support for the latest versions,” says Kevin Barnes, CEO of eCube Systems. “NXTware Remote’s support for Eclipse 4.3 makes it possible for developers to take advantage of the most up-to-date features available as well as the best third party plugins.”
NXTware Remote leverages and extends the Eclipse platform to support a wide variety of languages, scripts and platforms including OpenVMS, Linux and Unix. Eclipse NXTware Remote Studio, a core component of NXTware Remote, is an Eclipse plug-in that enables users to remote code from their local Eclipse Environment to a remote server. The code can then be built, compiled, run and debugged on the remote platform within Eclipse.
With its support of Eclipse 4.3, NXTware Remote continues to offer a variety of Technical and Business Productivity benefits including:
• Multi-language support to Eclipse: C/C++, COBOL, JAVA, BASIC and FORTRAN
• Integrated support for external and Eclipse-based source code management systems
• Simplified integration of custom make files, user access/identity and audit controls into Eclipse work process
• An extension of existing Eclipse capabilities (such as code assist and debug) to legacy platforms
Support for the next version of Eclipse, code name Luna, will be available from eCube in September.
