Oncolytic Virus-Driven Immune Modulation and Therapeutic Combinations: Tackling the “Cold Tumor Space”, Upcoming Webinar Hosted by Xtalks
TORONTO (PRWEB) October 17, 2019 -- Cancer immunotherapies play a critical role in the standard of cancer care, but there remains much to explore in the world of oncolytic virotherapies. In this live webinar, to be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 12pm EDT (4pm GMT/UK), the featured speaker, Philipp Müller, PhD, will discuss selective replication of the oncolytic virus VSV-GP in tumor cells, tumor cell lysis and reshaping of the tumor microenvironment. The results from this study will explore the potential of VSV-GP as an immuno-oncology enabler for a broad range of cancers in poorly “T-cell inflamed” tumors and highlight VSV-GP as a non-mutagenic virus that synergizes with other immunotherapies as well as targeted therapies.
Philipp Müller, PhD is a Senior Principal Scientist of the Cancer Immunology & Immune Modulation Department at Boehringer Ingelheim. He has worked on and published in high ranking journals on the immune-promoting properties of antibody-drug-conjugates, bispecific antibody formats as well as agonistic antibodies, such as anti-CD40, and their therapeutic combination with immune-checkpoint blockade. His current role at Boehringer Ingelheim involves leading research in next-generation oncolytic viruses and novel immune-oncology concepts.
This webinar will appeal to scientists, reseachers, oncologists and graduate students working in cancer immunology, companion diagnostics, precision medicine and other related fields.
