Oneida Ltd. joined nearly 2,000 chefs, cooks, students and foodservice professionals at the 2013 American Culinary Federation, Inc. (ACF) National Convention at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, on July 21–25, 2013. Excited to take an active role in supporting the event as a silver sponsor, Oneida was proud to be a part of honoring chefs, culinary industry professionals and foodservice establishments alike. Stozle, an elite member of Oneida’s brand family, also contributed to this sponsorship.
Contributing to the culinary development opportunities available at the event, Oneida donated dinnerware product from the Mood and Fusion collections for a “Plating and Presentation Techniques” demonstration by the 2016 ACF Culinary Team USA Manager, Chef Joseph Leonardi, CEC. The session highlighted the importance of showcasing both flavor and functionality on every plate, as well as free-form and structured plating approaches. Plating techniques exemplified balance, unity, focal point, flow, height, color and texture. The session was enthusiastically attended and the valuable techniques presented by Chef Leonardi armed chefs with many new plating technique strategies proven to resonate with consumers during their dining experience.
Stolzle contributed to the plating event as well by donating decorated Stolzle glassware. Participants of the plating event received Stolzle’s Celebration wine tasting glass customized with both the American Culinary logo and Stolze logo.
