Socious to Help to Lead the World’s First Customer Community Strategy Conference
Gilbert, AZ (PRWEB) August 20, 2015 -- Socious, a leading online customer community platform provider, announced that the company is the lead sponsor of CommuniCon, a new conference on how businesses can realize the outsized value of engaged customer communities.
The Arizona-based customer community software company is teaming up with the Center for Customer Engagement to produce the world’s first conference on the strategic value of customer communities. CommuniCon will be held on October 6, 2015 at the Sofitel in Redwood City, CA. The one-day event will feature renowned practitioners and thought-leaders in the areas of online community management, customer engagement, and user group development.
“Customer communities—such as user groups, advisory boards, executive councils, online forums and the like—have been around for a long time,” said Bill Lee, founder of the Center for Customer Engagement and author of The Hidden Wealth of Customers (Harvard Business Review Press). “But with the rise of today’s empowered customer who wants to engage with her peers, executives increasingly see the immense potential communities have to grow the business. And that’s precisely what CommuniCon is about.”
As the conference’s lead sponsor, Socious will highlight its experience in helping companies create successful customer communities and user groups. Lee continued, “Socious is a leader when it comes to launching online customer communities that align with tangible business outcomes.”
CommuniCon was created to fill a gap for business people, who may not be online community management experts, to understand the role that building community plays in doing their jobs more effectively.
“There are many great conferences and workshops on how to create active online communities. CommuniCon was created for marketing, product management, and customer care professionals who want to see how they can leverage their customer community to achieve core business goals,” said Joshua Paul, senior director of strategy at Socious.
Socious and the Center for Customer Engagement are using their position in the business-to-business community to bring some of the brightest minds in the customer community strategy world to speak at CommuniCon. Key speakers include Phoebe Venkat, the director of community engagement at SalesForce, FeverBee founder Richard Millington, and Bill Johnston, the founder of Structure 3C.
“Socious is excited to play a big role in bringing together these experts and ideas,” continued Paul, who will also be presenting at the event.
Tickets for CommuniCon are expected to sell out. The early bird registration discount will be available until September 15, 2015. Get more information and register for CommuniCon at http://www.centerforcustomerengagement.com/communicon/.
