Online Learning Consortium Announces Chief Executive Officer Transition
NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (PRWEB) May 14, 2019 -- The Online Learning Consortium announced today that Kathleen Ives, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, has resigned. The Board of Directors has named Chief Strategy Officer Jennifer Mathes as interim CEO, effective immediately.
Ives served in her current role since 2013, working with the Board and the management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. With over three decades of online technology experience, she played an instrumental role overseeing the OLC’s strategic direction. Ives joined the Sloan Consortium in 2004 as the Associate Executive Director, later adding the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer beginning in 2012. The organization rebranded and changed names from Sloan-C to OLC in 2014 to better align with the mission of providing access to high quality e-Education to individuals, institutions, professional societies and the corporate community.
Dr. Eric E. Fredericksen, President of the OLC Board of Directors, said, “During her tenure, Kathleen helped to position OLC as a self-sustaining organization that continues to evolve in order to best meet the needs of its institutional members.
