It is time to reclaim our economy and job market prowess in this Nation.
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) August 30, 2013
Business on the Edge, Inc., announces today the expansion and redesign of its annual small business summit. The 2nd Annual Silicon Valley on the Edge Summit will include a business expo, 18 small business training classes, resources, and an exclusive investment training class for college students taught by financial and investment expert Rob Black. The value of the expo and summit event is to provide a saturation of business and financial education, relevant business resources and tools, and engaging networking that encourages small business growth and student development. “My commitment to working with small businesses and supporting their success is to generate long-term sustainability; it removes the small business hamster wheel mentality, and inevitably creates jobs that influence our economic future. We must get back to doing business as neighbors a simple concept that has been lost in our Country. It’s time to reclaim our economy and job market prowess in this Nation, and to do so we must think about our business neighbors, education, and winning together,” Margaret Jackson (CEO/President, Business on the Edge Incorporated)
This year’s Expo & Summit is about building a support bridge between small and emerging businesses, college students, civic leaders, and business professionals.
- The college student is associating themselves with local businesses, professionals and potential job opportunities.
- The education and training classes provide resources and tools needed to support today’s small and emerging businesses.
- The expedition showcases the business owner or professional trainer’s products, and services.
- The civic leaders are supporting events that encourage education, small business growth, and local economic stimulation.
The future of the support bridge-event is targeted to saturate throughout the 9 Bay Area counties by year-end 2014, and five cities around the Nation that targets Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Charlotte by year-end 2015.
San Jose City Councilmember Kansen Chu; 2014 candidate for State Assembly will do the honors of opening the Expo & Summit with a welcome speech. The keynote will be presented by Business Coach and Radio Host Margaret Jackson. Asher College, Silicon Valley campus has partnered with Business on the Edge on providing 15-20 student interns for the event. The students will support attendee’s requests for event and training class information, locating exhibitors, registration, and other practical services needed. “Asher College takes great pride in our partnership and community outreach efforts with Business on the Edge during the upcoming SV Expo and Summit. Business Coach Jackson’s expertise and savvy to building Bay Area Business will provide an amazing volunteer opportunity which will enable Asher College to significantly expand its reach to students and to the community,” Carmen Williams-Robl (Campus Director, Asher College Silicon Valley)
The Expo & Summit will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott, Newark Silicon Valley, CA on November 16, 2013 from 10am-5pm. All attendees must register to be admitted to the expo and summit; it is open to all business professionals, business owners, college students, entrepreneurs, visionaries, emerging businesses, small business supporters, and civic leaders. This year’s event is expected to more than triple in attendance due to the event expansion and redesign. “More than a business coach, Margaret is a business ‘purpose’ coach. She helps leaders lead.
