The 5th annual conference of the OpenClinica open source clinical research community to be held June 22-23 in Boston features keynote by Executive Director of the Harvard Center for Biomedical Informatics and former Chief Information Officer and Chief Scientist (Informatics) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

OpenClinica represents the next wave in development of tools that inspire truly global clinical research.

Today, OpenClinica announced that Eric Perakslis, Executive Director at the Center for Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School and Countway Library of Medicine, and former CIO and Chief Scientist (Informatics) at the U.S. FDA, will deliver the keynote address at the 5th annual OpenClinica Global Conference, June 22-23. “OC14”, the clinical research industry’s largest open source community conference, will be held at the historic Exchange Conference Center in Boston, bringing together users and developers of the world’s leading open source clinical research platform.

“OpenClinica represents the next wave in development of tools that inspire truly global clinical research. I am excited to serve as the keynote for OC14,” said Dr. Perakslis. “This unique conference provides users and developers with a great opportunity to share insights and accelerate innovation in clinical informatics.”
