Seamless Commerce + Content Sneak Peak to be Provided by Digital Commerce Company Elastic Path at OpenText Enterprise World 2013
(PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- Elastic Path Software Inc., the digital commerce company, today announced that it will be showcasing a customer case study at OpenText Enterprise World 2013 with a proof of concept connecting the OpenText Web Experience Management (WEM) and Elastic Path Cortex to demonstrate the potential for the world’s leading brands to seamlessly create and monetize highly contextualized digital experiences.
Enterprise World is OpenText’s annual user conference taking place in Orlando, Florida on Nov. 17-22, 2013. The Elastic Path Showcase session, entitled “CMS and Commerce Together at Last! Profit from the Chemistry” will be held in the Napoli II room of the Ritz Hotel on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 3:10 pm.
“Commerce and content together provides the chemistry for creating truly amazing digital experiences,” said Matt Dion, Vice President of Marketing, Elastic Path. “With OpenText we are exploring together the ability to make it easier than ever to turn original content-based digital experiences into powerful revenue generators.”
With the Elastic Path proof of concept, it has been demonstrated that users of OpenText WEM will be able to quickly and easily add commerce functionality to digital experience projects. Enterprise users will benefit from the partnership, making OpenText WEM the industry’s best solution for creating and monetizing digital experiences.
“The combination of content and commerce is a game changer, and we’re pleased to have a strong digital commerce partner in our ecosystem,” said Piyush Patel, VP Worldwide Partner Strategy and Marketing, OpenText. “Truly great digital experiences only happen when commerce and content come together. With Elastic Path, we’re arming our customers with some of the most advanced tools available for growing revenue through multi-channel digital experiences.”
Powering the proof of concept is Elastic Path Cortex, a sophisticated enterprise-grade API for delivering digital commerce that’s scalable, secure and future proof. Cortex is the industry’s only Hypermedia REST API and uses patent-pending technology to create a single unified API from disparate backend systems. In a recent commissioned survey conducted on behalf of Elastic Path, Forrester Consulting found that a unified API is the key to future-proofing your business while creating successful digital experiences.
OpenText WEM is a key component of the OpenText Customer Experience Management (CEM) suite of solutions, which are designed to create a richer, more interactive online experience across multiple channels—websites, mobile devices, social networks, and more—without sacrificing organization’s information governance requirements.
Elastic Path and OpenText intend to deliver monetization capabilities through the Elastic Path ecommerce platform, which consists of:
Commerce Engine, the industry’s most flexible ecommerce platform for managing products, bundles, discovery, pricing, promotions, personalization, and purchases;
- Subscriptions, a cloud-based solution for all recurring revenue and usage-based business models, and;
- Cortex, the world’s first hypermedia API platform for driving customer experiences across every digital touchpoint.
- Elastic Path was named as a “strength” in Gartner’s 2013 Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management Systems (WCMS), under the vendor entry for OpenText.
