Orbitera Cloud Channel Manager Enhances Deployment of Esri’s ArcGIS Platform on Amazon Web Services
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- Orbitera Inc., a provider of cloud channel management solutions, announced that Esri is using Orbitera’s Cloud Channel Manager (C2M) platform to speed customer deployments of ArcGIS on cloud platforms. Esri is launching a new subscription service to cloud bundles that accelerate customer deployments in the cloud by streamlining the process of purchasing and deploying cloud infrastructure. The bundles combine Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure and Esri software and services. Esri is using Orbitera’s SaaS Cloud Channel Management (C2M) platform to manage the packaging, distribution, and billing for cloud services through their global channel.
Esri’s new subscription bundles allow customers to purchase pre-paid subscriptions to cloud infrastructure that is pre-configured for Esri‘s ArcGIS for Server software. Customers receive a single bill from Esri that includes all the services needed to run their Esri solution on cloud. When a customer purchases a bundle, the services are automatically deployed to a cloud provider.
Esri selected Orbitera C2M to help manage end-to-end process of packaging and delivering cloud-based solutions. Orbitera C2M allows Esri to quickly build bundles, manage customer subscriptions, and reconcile pre-paid and usage-based charges.
