Orlando Personal Training Center Launches Thanksgiving Boot Camp Food Drive to Feed Orange County’s Hungry Families
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) November 06, 2013 -- Inspired by the upcoming holiday season, the popular Orlando personal training center known as Fit Body Boot Camp announces the launch of their Thanksgiving Boot Camp Food Drive.
Every Saturday during the month of November (excluding November 2nd), Orlando Fit Body Boot Camp will host a free 30 minute boot camp workout at Blue Jacket Park at 11:30 am in exchange for canned food items. The canned goods will be donated to the local food bank, Second Harvest, whose mission is to end hunger in Orange County, FL.
Kerry Girona and Andrea Laing, the owners and operators of the Orlando Fit Body Boot Camp, says their goal in launching their Thanksgiving Boot Camp Food Drive is to bring the community together to get fit for a great cause.
Girona and Laing explain, “We were inspired to launch our Thanksgiving Boot Camp Food Drive because we want to help the less fortunate. We have a goal of impacting 20% of the Orlando population by the year 2020 so we wanted to help others have a great Thanksgiving while providing an amazing workout and helping people get healthy. People should come out and join us because they can help a great cause and get healthy and learn about fitness and health while doing it. For a small donation they can make a difference in their lives and the lives of those less fortunate!”
Open for just two short years, the Orlando Fit Body Boot Camp already has 245 full time members who attend the boot camp on a regular basis and that number keeps growing. Hoping to accommodate more South Florida residents, the personal training center has plans to open up a second Fit Body Boot Camp location.
Both Girona and Laing have been in the fitness industry for over 9 years and are ACE (American Council on Exercise) and NASM (National Academy for Sports Medicine) Certified. Explaining their passion for fitness, Girona and Laing says, “We are both passionate about changing lives through health and fitness and making a difference in the community because we know what fitness and exercise has done for our lives!”
