Ortus Solutions To Host Two-Day Workshop On Building Secure Applications
Following last year's success, Ortus is bringing its workshop back to the D.C. area.
WASHINGTON, Jan. 30, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ortus Solutions, Corp announced today it will be hosting a two-day workshop on April 20th and 21st focused on building secure MVC ColdFusion applications. The event will be held before the Adobe CF Summit East 2020 at the Regus Franklin Square from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with the aim of helping modernize developer skills to create applications with modern techniques and tooling.
Attendees will be designing a twitter-like application (SoapBox) and will build it using the most popular ColdFusion MVC Framework: ColdBox. They will design the client in UML and build it using object orientation, database migrations, fluent query builders and then secure it using cbSecurity. They will also leverage behavior driven development (BDD) to build the entire client using a feature-test-driven approach.
"This training is especially targeted for those ColdFusion developers that have been dealing with legacy and old-school applications and are ready to modernize, to have sanity and to be able to bring enjoyment back to their workplace," said Luis Majano, CEO of Ortus Solutions. "These two days will be completely hands-on and by the time you leave you will have built a secure MVC ColdFusion application with modern techniques and tests! You will then be able to replicate the techniques that you have learned and be on your way to modernization."
For these workshops, prospective attendees need to have the latest CommandBox CLI, a local database server (MySql 5.7 is recommended), a basic ColdFusion Knowledge, and an intermediate CFC knowledge.
