HomeThangs.com Has Introduced A Guide to Preserving a View with Wire Frame and Acrylic Outdoor Furniture
(PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- HomeThangs.com – the Online Home Improvement Store has made their goal to deliver the right product to the consumer. With that in mind, shopping and home design tips, as well as special product selections are being introduced.
Having a beautiful panoramic view is great, but finding a way to enjoy it comfortably without blocking it can present some difficulties. Namely, setting out a bunch of furniture on a deck or patio, or even in front of a large picture window, can block a view from other angles, but without the right furnishings. One surprisingly effective workaround for this problem is using wire frame or clear acrylic furniture to help minimize the visual impact of the furniture. HomeThangs.com has introduced a simple guide to these see-through materials, which won't clear the way entirely, but offers a nice compromise between functionality and aesthetics.
The principle is simple: opaque furniture blocks views, while transparent furniture – like acrylic or wire frame furniture – allow at least some of it to get through. A wire frame outdoor dining set obviously aren’t invisible, but it’s easy for the human eye to look through them, much like a chain link fence. It’s still there, and doesn’t do anything to improve the view, but it’s a heck of a lot better than trying to stare through a brick wall. Glass is certainly a more transparent material, but because it’s so fragile, it isn’t sufficiently weight bearing for use as anything but a tabletop.
For a view at the edge of a hill, cliff, or high rise, choosing outdoor furniture is really an extension of the problem of barriers. A steep drop without any kind of railing is dangerous with or without children in the equation, but even a low barricade will partially obstruct a view. To make the most of this less-than-stellar reality, consider opting for outdoor furniture that interplays with those barriers in an interesting way. Look for wire frame furniture in a similar color and thickness to the protective railing. The effect isn’t perfect, but it’s a cool visual trick that obscures the view as little as possible.
In a barrier free space, wire frame furniture can cast a unique silhouette. Again, it’s not quite the same as having a totally open space, but wire frame chairs are about 90% open space, which means they're about as close to not having furniture blocking a view as possible while still having something to sit on.. It’s simple, lovely, and minimally obtrusive. Wire frame outdoor chairs come in a variety of shapes, so it isn’t hard to find a design to match a particular outdoor decor. For a little extra camouflage, some wire frame chairs even come in different colors, which can blend more naturally with the backdrop.
Clear acrylic chairs and outdoor tables work in a similar way, in the sense that they can be looked through as well as looked at. Unlike with wire frame furniture, there’s nothing blocking the view, but there is some amount of distortion due to the shape of the furniture. Essentially, it’s a step down from looking through a clear pane of glass, because even if the furniture is perfectly clear, the material will still slightly bend and alter the light. Still, high quality clear polycarbonate chairs are the next best thing to having a totally open view while still having the seating to enjoy it.
Though this type of see-through furniture is perhaps most useful outdoors, the same principles apply for keeping indoor views clear, too. With a large picture window in a dining area or sitting room, these semi-see-through materials can help keep the view clear from other parts of the house without having to sacrifice any usable space. Indoors, glass tables work a little better, especially paired with hairpin or other thin metal legs.
