First Colony Inn on the Outer Banks to Host Book Signing by Nancy Rascoe, Author of "The Sandy Banks Live On"
Nags Head, NC (PRWEB) August 21, 2013 -- Nancy Rascoe wants to make sure that the history of Old Nags Head and other towns on the Outer Banks lives on. On September 18th, at the historic First Colony Inn in Nags Head, she will give a brief lecture and then sign copies of her book, "the Sandy Banks Lives On". These stories have been passed down from one generation to the next and tell about those who came to the Outer Banks to farm, to fish and even to help save those in distress. These pioneers shaped the island that is enjoyed by locals and thousands of visitors each year.
"Miss Nancy" hopes that the stories in her book of days gone by on the Outer Banks will be told "as if they had never, ever, been told before!"
The historic First Colony Inn in Nags Head will host the lecture and book signing for "The Sandy Banks Live On" in the John White Breakfast Room starting at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, September 18th. The public is invited to this free event. Light refreshments will be served. If you do plan on attending please call Jeannie at 252.480.4752.
The inn is listed in the National Register of Historic Place and sits on the coast at Nags Head as the sole surviving "beach-style" hotel, welcoming new generations to the old-fashioned pleasures of the Outer Banks.
