We wanted to do something truly epic for Leap Day, especially since it falls on a Saturday and is within the year of our 60th anniversary at Chapel of the Flowers.

This Saturday is February 29, and couples from around the world have made arrangements to walk down the aisle on Leap Day at Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas. Over 70 weddings and vow renewal ceremonies are scheduled for Leap Day at the elegant one-acre property on Las Vegas Boulevard. Leap Day weddings, popular because of the easy to remember, once-every-four-years anniversary date, are also expected to trend this year with social media influencers looking to stand out on their platforms. One couple will even take the ultimate leap of faith following their ceremony with a tandem skydiving wedding celebration over the skies of Las Vegas!

Chapel of the Flowers decided that the rarity of Leap Day falling on a Saturday in 2020 deserved a unique way to celebrate. The Chapel hosted a “Take the Leap Day Wedding Contest” in January, seeking daring couples who entered via social media. The winning couple, Crystal Espinoza and Isbet Garcia of Colorado Springs, Colorado, will wed in a beautiful ceremony at Chapel of the Flowers’ Glass Gardens Chapel on February 29, followed by the ultimate leap-of-faith as they skydive from a plane with GoJump America.

“We wanted to do something truly epic for Leap Day, especially since it falls on a Saturday and is within the year of our 60th anniversary at Chapel of the Flowers," said Donne Kerestic, CEO at Chapel of the Flowers. "What a thrill it will be for the winning couple to skydive as they celebrate their wedding nuptials. On behalf of everyone at Chapel of the Flowers, we wish Crystal and Isbet, and all the couples saying “I do” on Leap Day, lifetimes of wedded bliss.”

Award-winning Chapel of the Flowers has earned accolades from The Knot, Wedding Wire Trip Advisor and The Las Vegas Review for providing impeccable service at affordable prices in one of its elegant indoor chapels or exquisite outdoor settings. This year the chapel is celebrating its 60th anniversary with special events every month.
