(PRWEB) November 07, 2013 -- Pacific Prime, one of the world's leading distributors of international private medical insurance, has joined the worldwide Movember charity campaign this year! For the entire month of November, a team of participants from Pacific Prime will be growing mustaches and raising awareness to support research in testicular cancer and other various illnesses.
The Movember charity originally began in Australia with the goal of "changing the face of men’s health.” The charity aims to increase early detection, diagnosis and treatment of testicular cancer and to lower the stigma of mental illness and depression.
Both men and women at Pacific Prime are taking part, either by growing their mustaches or by simply spreading awareness of the campaign to friends and family to raise as much as money as possible for the charity. Once the month is over, Pacific Prime will match the total raised by all participants on the team.
The folks at Pacific Prime, like every organization who is participating in the charity, has created a team page on the official Movember website. Every individual who is taking part in the campaign has also created their own profile page that keeps track of how much money the participant raised for their team.
There are several reasons why Pacific Prime has chosen to support the Movember charity specifically. The Movember organization practices complete transparency and accountability of funds raised. The official website explains exactly where the funds are being used, which separates the organization from many of other cancer charities that keep a high percentage of funds for themselves.
Movember is also an effective way to open up a conservation that might not otherwise happen. A mustache is an instant topic of conversation after all!
The folks at Pacific Prime are committed to people's health and well-being and are excited to be participating in the charity.
