Penn Avenue Eyewear Supports Girls Who Code
Pittsburgh, Pa. (PRWEB) October 13, 2014 -- Penn Avenue Eyewear is happy to announce the addition of Girls Who Code to its Give Back program.
Announced in December 2013, the Give Back program allows customers to choose from a list of non-profit organizations at checkout and 10% of the total sale is donated to the chosen organization.
Girls Who Code is a national non-profit working to close the gender gap in the technology field. Through its Summer Immersion Program and Girls Who Code Clubs, the organization is leading the movement to inspire, educate and equip young women with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.
As part of Penn Avenue Eyewear’s Give Back program, Girls Who Code will receive 10 percent of all sales designated by customers with the code “CODE10” at checkout.
“We are pleased to add Girls Who Code to our list of charities and non-profits that we support. The work and initiatives they have already completed are inspiring and we are looking forward to seeing what they have in store next,” said Penn Avenue Eyewear’s Creative Director Caitlin Northup. “We have an ongoing effort to add organizations to our list that resonate with our customers. Girls Who Code is perfect for this program.”
Penn Avenue Eyewear supports 20 charity and non-profit organizations and gives back 10 percent of all sales, as chosen by customers at checkout. A complete list of non-profits, and their corresponding codes, may be found here.
