Parlin Dentist Continues to Fight Hunger by Giving Dental Service to Locals
Parlin, NJ (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- Parlin dentist, Dr. Mariana Blagoev is raising donations for a local food pantry and helping people improve their dental health by lowering their dental bill.
Dr. Balgoev launched a Food Drive that ended on December 21st, 2014. She invited the community to participate by getting a Dental Cleaning, Exam and X-ray for only $39 and donating all of the money to the food bank at First Presbyterian Church of South Amboy.
The Parlin NJ dentist decided to extend the Food Drive until Jan 31st, 2015.
Dr Blagoev explained, "It is a growing problem. Food demands at the local food pantries have increased and yet food donations have decreased. Food Banks need help all year round and we all can help them together."
“Among the hungry in America is 47 million children. This is very alarming." said Dr Blagoev, dentist Parlin.
Dr Blagoev is encouraging her patients to schedule their routine dental cleaning, throughout the month of January to help the food bank at First Presbyterian Church of South Amboy.
When asked why she would give such a discount and donate all the proceeds, Dr Blagoev said, "Local communities are strong not because of money but because of the free spirit of helping one's neighbors. In a troubled economy that affects many Americans, if I could get the public to help the hungry families while getting their basic dental work done, why not?"
“I would like to thank everyone that participated and I to ask everyone who now knows about our program to spread the word to their friends and neighbors. The more people know about this effort, the more needy families can receive aid.” Parlin dentist Dr. Blagoev concluded.
