2015 Patient Flow Summit Addresses Current US Healthcare Challenges
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 25, 2015 -- Government driven healthcare reform is causing US hospital administrators to reconsider how they do business. 2015 Patient Flow Summit faculty will hit on topics related to those changes and share insights into how healthcare systems can stay competitive in the changing US healthcare environment.
In its 8th year, the annual Patient Flow Summit brings together hospital administrators, doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who are focused on optimizing hospital operations and improving patient care quality. Leaders from hospitals across the country will present on a variety of topics such as readmission reduction, capacity management, and population health. This year's event will be at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa, May 4-7.
“Participants come to hear from industry experts and to collaborate with other healthcare leaders from hospitals across the country,” explained Derek Hays, Patient Flow Summit Executive Director. “Each year the conference has grown. This May’s event is shaping up to be a great one.”
Eugene Litvak, President and CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Optimization (IHO), Dennis Weaver, Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer at The Advisory Board Company, and Joseph Mott, Vice President of Healthcare Transformation at Intermountain Healthcare will be giving keynote presentations.
Other organizations presenting at the Summit include: Robert Wood Johnson, UCLA Health, New York-Presbyterian, The Ottawa Hospital, UW Health, Maimonides Medical Center, The University of Chicago Medicine, Tampa General Hospital, Legacy Health, Eastern Maine Medical Center, Community Regional Medical Center, Presbyterian Medical Group, PeaceHealth and the New Jersey Hospital Association.
For the first time, the Patient Flow Summit will be offering CNE contact hours for nurses attending the event. Jessica Berg, RN, MHA, Nurse Planner for the Summit, provided insight into the addition, “The Summit is an educational event that attracts nurses each year. Offering CNE credits was a natural progression for the Summit and will provide a great benefit for the nurses that attend.”
