Author Desley Polmear is a woman with a curious and inquisitive mind. In her everyday life, she watches and listens, continuously grabbing snippets for her next story. She turns her stories into believable and readable fiction. As a writer, she wants her audience to relate to her characters. Her latest family saga, “Payback” (published by Xlibris AU) is full of drama and mystery and it completes the Russo family book trilogy.
This book continues the life of beautiful Susie Russo, a woman who holds on to secrets from her past. These secrets were locked away in the deep recesses of her mind, a place where she always thought they were safe. She lives every day with guilt, lies and deceit. In a warm and loving relationship with Mario, she wants for nothing, but now the fear of her secrets being revealed threatened everything she holds dear. Could she take that risk? Will she rise above it all and find the strength to go on, or will she discover another way to find her peace?
“Most people can relate to the lives of the characters in this novel,” Polmear says. “It showed the worst side of my characters, but after much soul searching and changes which were forced upon them, they blossom. They become better people and live decent lives.”
“Payback” is an intriguing novel full of twists and detours that will keep readers on their toes. Polmear also hopes that readers can relate somehow to their own lives, and be inspired, knowing that with fight and determination, anyone can change and grow for the better.
