NAPCP to Offer Commercial Card and Payment Education and Networking Event at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California
Minnetonka, MN (PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- Registration is now open for the NAPCP's Culver City Regional Forum, October 10, 2013 (http://www.napcp.org/events). The event, hosted by Sony Pictures Studios and sponsored by American Express, will gather B2B payments professionals for two educational presentations, roundtable discussions and networking. The current fee to attend is $69, NAPCP members; $89, complimentary subscribers (includes breakfast and lunch).
Speakers from Sony Pictures Entertainment include Anthony Kimball, Director, Expense Management and Card Services; and Brian Mason, Manager, Expense Management and Purchasing Card Services. Each year, the Sony team manages 150,000 transactions across nine countries. Attendees will learn how Sony acquired contacts, resources and support in far-flung regions, and how they garnered management buy-in to take the program from six figures to hundreds of millions in annual spend.
The second speaker is Jennifer Mertz, CPCP, Purchasing Card (P-Card) Administrator from Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). She will discuss how JPL was able to move away from a 100% transaction audit process to focus on value-added activities that have improved the P-Card program. Jennifer spoke at the NAPCP’s 2013 Annual Conference. Attendees remarked, “Jennifer Mertz was a great presenter, with great content in her session. She managed the presentation and questions very well, keeping the attendees ‘engaged,’” and “Jennifer Mertz from JPL was really good. She gave me a lot to think about regarding where I am winning and losing in my audit procedures.”
