Payway Selected by Kenosha News to Help Move Operations to the Cloud
DANVERS, Mass. (PRWEB) August 10, 2018 -- Payway® announced today that it has been selected by Kenosha News, part of the United Communications Corporation (UCC), to help move the news organization’s operations to the cloud and upgrade its business to the digital age.
UCC had been utilizing Payway’s payment gateway and has now added its merchant account service offering as well. Prior to working with Payway, UCC had been using multiple merchant accounts for several of its properties, all with their own processors, rates, and pricing structures. This approach made balancing for the finance team difficult and inefficient. With Payway’s help, UCC was able to consolidate all of its payment processing activity into one streamlined product set – existing entirely in the cloud.
The Kenosha News, first published in 1894, is a daily newspaper published in Kenosha, Wisconsin. With a circulation of 18,000 daily and 22,000 Sunday, the morning paper serves southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois.
The Kenosha News, like many businesses with a substantial history, had legacy systems where the accounts payable departments were still manually managing workflows, invoicing and other processes with paper and Excel® spreadsheets.
“Our whole system was built on paper, so we knew we needed to bring our systems into the online era and integrate our systems together. Payway made this transition so easy,” said Patricia Ellis, business office manager, Kenosha News. “One of the keys to a successful business is a robust and healthy finance department. A clean Accounts Receivable bill of health depends upon systems that provide control, streamlining and flexibility. A move to the cloud with Payway has now provided us with this kind of increased convenience, safety, and security.”
“We are excited to continue working with UCC and Kenosha News to provide integrated merchant and gateway cloud technologies that deliver advanced reporting capabilities. These tools help identify specific revenue streams, such as advertising versus subscription versus circulation, and ultimately enable them to make more informed decisions that drive their business forward as a result of increased operational efficiencies,” said Daniel Nadeau, co-owner and principal, Payway.
“Payway sat with us and made us feel comfortable with the technology,” added Ellis. “Payway is not just the place to go when it comes to innovative technologies that are easy to use and work. They have an amazing customer support system too.”
