PC-Doctor Introduces Certified NIST-Compliant Drive Erase Tools as Part of its Diagnostic Suite
PC-Doctor now offers data erasure tools as part of its suite of PC and Android system health diagnostics. PC-Doctor Drive Erase complies with the rigorous standards set forth by NIST, and is fully integrated with the PC-Doctor product line--offering end-to-end automation in factory testing.
RENO, Nev., Jan. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PC-Doctor, Inc., the global leader in PC and Android system health, today announced the release of PC-Doctor Drive Erase: its new suite of drive erase tools. Drive Erase has been certified as compliant with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines—the most stringent standards in data erasure—and is available to computer technicians, factories, government entities and refurbishment companies.
Drive Erase is a NIST 800-88r1 compliant solution that erases ATA, SCSI, NVMe, and eMMC devices using the most secure methods available. Once erasure is complete, a detailed certificate is generated for storage either locally or in a cloud account, easily and securely accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.
PC-Doctor Drive Erase comes standard with the newly released PC-Doctor Service Center 12 and in the PC-Doctor Factory line of products—all of which provide industry-leading hardware diagnostics. Drive Erase enhances these solutions and is completely integrated to allow end-to-end factory automation of the testing cycle, which greatly reduces the time and human interaction required to move a system through the recycling process.
"Given the growing refurbishment market, a single solution is imperative—not only for diagnostics, but for data erasure as well," said Bob Zaretsky, Director of Business Development for PC-Doctor. "Automation is key to getting systems wiped, tested and turned around quickly."
