PCS Bail Bonds, Tarrant County’s Premier Bail Bond Service, Reacts to Recent Open Carry Protest in Fort Worth Area
Forth Worth, Texas (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- PCS Bail Bonds (http://www.PCSBailBonds.com), Fort Worth, Texas’ most trusted bail bond service, is weighing in on multiple open carry demonstrations across Forth Worth.
Taking place outside of fast food restaurants and home improvement stores, these demonstrations seek to support the legal open carrying of firearms in the state of Texas. The National Rifle Association, the country’s largest gun advocacy group, has criticized these protests, calling them “downright weird and certainly not a practical way to go normally about your business while being prepared to defend yourself.” (Source: Tinsley, A.M. “NRA chastises open carry protest in Forth Worth” Star-Telegram.com, June 3, 2014; http://www.star-telegram.com/2014/06/02/5867541/nra-chastises-open-carry-protests.html?rh=1.)
“While the NRA has criticized these actions as being foolish, the demonstrations are still legal,” says Paul Schuder, owner of PCS Bail Bonds. “However, we do not advise that residents of Forth Worth carry their arms irresponsibly and create potentially dangerous situations.”
These demonstrations are occurring during the same week that Republicans will conduct their bi-yearly GOP Convention in Forth Worth. Some Republicans plan on carrying long guns to the convention, which is thought to be the reason that spurred the current open carry demonstrations. (Source: Ibid.)
“Although Republicans have hinted at carrying weapons to the convention, it is illegal for citizens to bring weapons inside the Convention Center,” Schuder notes. “We want to remind Fort Worth residents to keep all open carry demonstrations outside of the building.”
Some misunderstandings have already occurred after members of Open Carry Tarrant County were demonstrating outside of a Jack-in-the-Box in Fort Worth. A bystander was concerned and called the police.
“PCS Bail Bonds reminds and encourages everyone to respect the rights of other citizens and conduct themselves in a manner that is in accordance to the law,” Schuder concludes.
