Martinez Insurance Group Initiates Fundraising Campaign for Local Woman Fighting Two Types of Breast Cancer

Partnering with Beverly Carawan, one of their own customers who is fighting two types of breast cancer, the agency hopes to raise funds which will help with essential expenses and escalating medical bills. Beverly Carawan was diagnosed with cancer just over a year ago and is currently battling two types, triple negative infiltrating ductal breast cancer and HER2-negative cancer. After undergoing various treatments, including mastectomy and chemotherapy, Beverly fell and fractured two vertebrae, complicating her recovery. Facing wound healing problems and three more surgeries, Beverly is about to lose her home to foreclosure and her car is on it’s last legs, which will make it difficult to get to her treatments – and the medical bills just keep coming.
“Beverly is such a fighter, and has been a real inspiration to us all,” said Ernie Martinez, owner of Martinez Insurance Group. “But this is a time when she needs to be able to focus on getting well, instead of on her untenable financial situation.
