PenguinLeads.com has created a new algorithm to better allocate the leads they sell to business customers looking to increase sales, the company announced yesterday.
“Our leads have always had very high conversion rates, but we are always trying to improve on our product,” a Penguin Leads spokesman said. “We hire new developers, had them look at how we allocated leads, and over the course of the last three months they built and tested a new algorithm that has demonstrated much higher conversation rates per lead than our previous allocation system.”
Penguin Leads sells companies pre-qualified sales leads, making it easier for sales and marketing staff to pitch to people who would be reasonably interested in their products and services. The company never sells the same lead to two different companies, so making sure there is a perfect match between lead and company is paramount, he said.
“The differences in this system are very subtle,” the Penguin Leads spokesman said, “but overall we will deliver far more value to the companies we serve. At our level, even a one-percent increase in sales conversions can lead to tens of thousands of dollars in increased sales.”
The new algorithm was made live this week and Penguin Leads will continue to monitor how it does in practice, he said.
“Beta testing is done,” he said. “Now we just have to wait for customer feedback.”
