Share Article

The PEPPM purchasing cooperative has issued a new invitation to bid, seeking best national prices on a comprehensive array of technology products in commercially available catalogs to serve schools and other public agencies in communities all across the U.S.

The PEPPM purchasing cooperative is seeking sealed bids for discounted pricing on technology products contained in commercially available catalogs within the following categories: Audio Visual Products, General Hardware and Software, Refurbished Computer Systems and Parts, and Remanufactured Laser Toner and Ink Cartridges.

The national technology bidding and purchasing program will accept catalog bids from qualified companies until 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Friday, October 18, 2013. Bidding will be conducted through online bidding eCommerce technology provided by the Epylon Corporation at http://www.epylon.com.

PEPPM is the 31-year-old cooperative purchasing program for schools, universities, and other public agencies operated by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU), a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This past year the PEPPM program has served nearly 1,500 public agencies among 46 states in communities all across the U.S. The PEPPM program creates and administers piggybackable purchasing contracts for fellow public-sector agencies, thereby lowering total cost of acquisition.

Interested and qualified vendors should register as a supplier at http://www.epylon.com, and choose the category of “Technology: Computers, Printers, Network Equipment.” Bid documents will be available online and sent to the inbox of vendors registered in the technology category. Bids are due by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Friday, October 18, 2013. Some paper documents must be submitted by the due date in addition to electronic submissions.

Currently, low-price award winners for PEPPM catalog contracts include CDW-G, Troxell, B&H Photo-Video-Pro Audio, SHI Corporation, Hewlett Packard, CXtec, CDI Computer Dealers, PartStock Computer, Camcor, Insight Systems Exchange, School Tech Supply, and IPS Laser Express. The new bidding opportunity opens the door for all companies with a national footprint -- including incumbents and their competitors -- to contend for new contract awards.

Following the Friday bid deadline, sealed bids will be opened publicly on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time at CSIU headquarters, 90 Lawton Lane, Milton, PA.

The solicitation for bids for pricing on technology catalogs is in addition to another current solicitation PEPPM has issued for individual brands of technology products.
