Applause, the world’s first Periscope influencer network, announces its official launch in an exclusive article in TechCrunch, the premier online tech publication.

Headquartered in New York City, Applause connects brands and agencies with top creators on Periscope, Facebook Live, and other emerging live streaming platforms. The network is the brainchild of Periscope star and top influencer Jon Jacques, whose signature #MagicMoments have amassed over 40 million “hearts” on Periscope, and Dan Ragan, former marketing executive at GroupM. Together, they've built an influencer network in response to the recent explosion of mobile live streaming.

With Twitter’s recent announcement of its integration of Periscope into tweets, and Facebook’s subsequent rollout of its own live streaming feature, Facebook Live, live streaming is quickly becoming the next big frontier for brands and marketers. Nevertheless, most brands have yet to create their first live video broadcast.
