Alexander Shunnarah Gulf Coast, LLP Launches Scholastic Athlete of the Week Program
MOBILE, Ala. (PRWEB) November 17, 2015 -- Through its recently launched award program, Alexander Shunnarah Gulf Coast, LLP proudly celebrates students who demonstrate a blend of high school athletic accomplishment and academic excellence in the Mobile area. Each week, the personal injury law firm presents a local classroom and athletic star with $250 from its Scholastic Athlete of the Week program.

Recent winners of the award include a sophomore athlete with a 4.35 GPA at Mattie T. Blount High School, as well as a senior member of the McGill-Toolen Catholic High School football team with a 3.55 GPA. When asked about their winnings, many of the winners state that they plan to put their scholarship money toward extra ACT and SAT tests, books and educational materials or the pursuit of a degree at a university of their choice.
Scholarship recipients have come from a variety of schools, with 14 local schools participating in the program: Escambia High, Pensacola High, Pine Forest High, Tate High, Washington High, West Florida High, North View High, Gulf Breeze High, Navarre High, Milton High, Pace High, Catholic High, Jay High and Central High.
